DTE 2030 Occlusal Topography Theory (N)
This course discusses the different dental occlusion theories. Topics include the tooth surfaces; occlusal anatomy and function; lists the determinants of occlusion, basic arrangement and pattern of tooth position on the dental arch; development of occlusion in primary, mixed, and permanent dentitions; the functional form of teeth at their incisal and occlusal thirds; identification of the cusp-fossa relationships and cusp to marginal ridge relationship of the maxillary to mandibular posteriors in centric occlusion, compensating curvatures, intercuspal relationships and eccentric occlusion; and the function and limitations of the temporomandibular joint as related to occlusal function.
