DTE 1132 Orthodontic and Pedodontic Theory (N)
This course emphasizes the concepts of the orthodontics and pedodontics as it relates to the dental technician. This includes "normal: pedodontic dental development; biomechanics of tooth movement; Angles System of Classification for malocclusion; Cephalometric tracings; study models; identification and function of the components of standard orthodontic appliances; materials and manipulation of materials used in the fabrication of appliance; and the theory behind functions of various fixed and removable orthodontic appliances.
