DTE 2200 Ethics and Jurisprudence (N)
This course emphasizes the ethics and jurisprudence of the dental laboratory technology profession. Topics include history of the profession; ethical standards of the dental profession; ethical code of conduct for dental laboratory technicians; legal requirements of owning and operating a dental laboratory; the responsibility of the technician to the dentist and the patient; dental organizations that affect the dental technician and laboratory; globalization of the dental technology industry; current trends in the industry; and implementing DAMAS/Quality Manufacturing (Dental Appliance Manufacturers Audit Scheme) in the dental laboratory.
