Attendance

Regular class attendance is required at Indian River State College. Students are expected to adhere to the policies set by each instructor. Those policies are printed in the course syllabus.

Students who do not attend the first week of the class will be withdrawn for non-attendance and will receive a grade of W. For online classes, refer to the course syllabus in Blackboard regarding what constitutes attendance. Students who are taking a class for the third time are not eligible to receive a W, so failure to attend will result in an F. 

Students who receive Financial Aid or Veterans benefits should refer to the Financial Aid section of this catalog for further information on attendance and how attendance impacts financial aid.
