DES 1800L Introduction to Clinical Procedures Lab
This course teaches practical skills in dentistry. The student actively participates in scheduled dental evaluations for the following areas: professionalism, the dental office, patient reception and positioning for delivery of care, instrument exchange and oral evacuation, disease transmission and infection control, principles and techniques of disinfection, principles and techniques of instrument processing and sterilization, occupational health and safety, chemical and waste management, patient information and assessment, vital signs, oral diagnosis and treatment planning, history of dentistry and the rolls of the dental health team.
