LIT 2330 Current Children's Literature
This course presents a critical introduction to the study and appreciation of children’s literature through a survey of classic and contemporary children’s works. Students will analyze a variety of different genres such as fables, poems, myths, fairy tales, picture books, and fiction for young readers. Topics covered may include literary value, gender, ethnicity, family dynamics, book awards, pedagogy, and censorship.
