CHM 2210L Organic Chemistry I Lab
Students are introduced to the fundamental separation and identification techniques used in the organic chemistry laboratory. The techniques covered include melting point, recrystallization, simple distillation, fractional and steam distillation, column chromatography, thin layer chromatography, solvent partitioning, acid-base extraction, rotary evaporation and IR spectroscopy.
