Housing - Residence Life

Living on campus is about more than having a place to sleep—it’s about being part of a vibrant, respectful community. Residence Life is here to help you feel at home, succeed academically, and make the most of your college experience at the River Hammock. If you are a resident at the River Hammock, you are expected to read and abide by the River Hammock Resident Handbook, Student Housing Lease Agreement, Indian River State College Standards of Conduct, and the Indian River State College Student Handbook.

Our Community Values:

  • Respect: Treat others, their space, and their belongings with care.
  • Responsibility: Follow college policies, safety rules, and your Housing Agreement.
  • Civility: Communicate openly and handle disagreements respectfully.

Living Together:

  • Quiet Hours: Respect the established quiet hours from evening to morning.
  • Shared Spaces: Keep kitchens, lounges, and laundry areas clean for everyone.
  • Cleanliness: Keep your areas and apartment clean.
  • Safety First: Lock doors and report anything unusual to Campus Safety. (772) 462 – 4755.Never tamper with fire alarms or safety equipment—it’s both dangerous and a serious violation.

Get Involved:
Join in residence life programs, events, and activities—they’re great ways to meet people, learn new things, and make your campus feel like home.

Remember—our goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where everyone can live and learn comfortably. Your cooperation helps make that possible.
