CET 1113C Logic Circuits II
Students explore the concepts of logical circuitry used in digital electronic systems. Topics covered include counters, shift registers, arithmetic (full and half adder/subtractors, ripple vs parallel computation, multiplication), 2’s complement notation, the 74181 ALU, memories (static, dynamic, RAM, ROM, PROM, EPROM, EEPROM, magnetic, non-volatile), digital systems, computer system architecture, and connection to analog devices. Students build and analyze various digital circuits to evaluate the theory of logical circuitry.
