ETS 2424 Biomedical Electronics
Students learn fundamental principles of electronics used in medical applications. Students learn about the area of biomedical electronics and its importance to the medical field. Students review various parts of the human body and systems, followed by the analysis of electrodes, sensors, and transducers used in the biomedical field. The following functional systems are covered in some detail: the circulatory, respiratory, nervous, and brain functions. Students learn the fundamentals of ECGs, EEGs, and respiratory equipment.
