RTE 1513L Radiographic Procedures II Lab
In this course, students apply the principles from RTE 1513 by demonstrating proper identification of anatomical landmarks and radiographic positioning of the upper and lower extremities. These skills are employed while maintaining radiation safety practices and proper patient care. Students have the opportunity to expose phantoms in the energized lab to ensure proper positioning and exposure techniques. This time also allows for the opportunity to practice communication skills by using identification factors, taking history, and instructing others on procedures. For each unit, students perform these skills in a controlled lab setting for a graded assessment.
