SCE 3310 Teaching Science in the Elementary School

In this course, students explore the knowledge and skills for teachers in Elementary Education K-6 Science. Content includes the body of knowledge for the nature of science, physical sciences, Earth and space sciences, and life sciences. Strategies and methods for teaching elementary science are also included. In addition, five observation hours of science teaching at the elementary level are required. The district may require a fee for background checks in order for students to observe a science teacher in a school.
