EEX 4232 Identification and Assessment of Individuals with Autism
In this course, students develop the knowledge and skills necessary tocritically analyze the processes in place to identify students with low incidence disabilities. The complexity of learning needs in a least restrictive environment, co-morbidity of different developmental disabilities along with the influences of societal andenvironmental issues are explored. Students appropriately assess the skills and abilities of K-12 students with severe disabilitiesina waythatassessmentresultscanbetranslatedintomeaningfuleducationalinterventionsina leastrestrictiveenvironment. A field experience component is required.
