ETS 2436 Biomedical Instrumentation
Students learn the fundamentals of the large-scale equipment used in hospitals, emergency rooms, intensive and coronary units, and operating rooms. Students explore a broad overview of the electronics used in these facilities, their functional role, and modes of operation. Devices such as electro-surgery generators, EEG units, battery-operated equipment, and waveform display devices are covered in detail. A special emphasis is given to lasers and other optical devices used in medical institutions.This course focuses on the large-scale equipment used in hospitals, emergency rooms, intensive and coronary units, and operating rooms.
