STS 1302 Introduction to Surgical Technology
In this course, students examine the role of the surgical technologist and the surgical team. An introduction to the overall healthcare system provides a foundation for cognitive development through the program. The topics include professional behavior and growth, the surgical team, legal concepts, asepsis/infection control, and the surgical patient.
