EMS 2659 Paramedic III
This is the capstone course of the Paramedic program. Students participate as team leaders onboard a licensed advanced life support (ALS) ambulance under the direct supervision of a single preceptor. Additionally, this course utilizes classroom reviews, online excercises in EMS operations leadership, and scenario-based practice to emphasize the application of all prior knowledge and skills obtained through the program. Requires admission to the Paramedic program. Student must possess Florida EMT licensure and healthcare provider CPR certification valid for the length of the program. Students must possess PHTLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications in order to take this course. Lab fee $80.
