EMS 2665 Paramedic Clinical/Field Experience II
This course provides an opportunity for students to further develop their abilities to apply classroom and lab instruction as they participate as part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team during rotations through various departments of local hospitals, health departments, clinics, and specialty centers. Students also serve as part of the emergency medical services (EMS) team during rotations onboard advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, progressing from team member to team leader. The Program provides clinical schedules, and students practice under the direct supervision of licensed clinical instructors and/or preceptors. Requires admission to the Paramedic program. Student must possess Florida EMT licensure and healthcare provider CPR certification valid for the length of the program. Student must possess PHTLS certification in order to take this course. Lab fee $35.
